Article discussions
When you submit a comment, FormSubmit delivers your display name, email address, comment, article reference and any reply reference to TradeLean for moderation. Comments are not published automatically. With your permission, an approved display name and comment may be published beneath the article; your email address is not included in the public comments feed. Publication consent is separate from newsletter signup. Rejected submissions and private moderation correspondence are kept only as needed for review, follow-up and handling abuse. Approved comments remain part of the discussion until removed or the discussion is retired. To request correction or removal, use the Contact page and identify the article and comment.
Scope and contact
This policy explains how TradeLean handles information in connection with tradelean.com. TradeLean is the public publishing name. For privacy requests, use the Contact page and select the relevant subject. This policy covers the website; external platforms apply their own privacy notices.
Browsing and hosting
Cloudflare Pages delivers and protects this website. A page request necessarily includes connection information such as an IP address, requested URL and browser or network metadata. Cloudflare processes this information for delivery and security under its own terms. The website code does not include advertising pixels or a third-party audience analytics script.
Contact enquiries
When you submit the contact form, FormSubmit processes the name, email address, subject, message and any optional organisation details you provide, together with technical information needed for delivery and spam protection. TradeLean uses the enquiry to respond, investigate the request and maintain relevant correspondence. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to the newsletter. Avoid sending financial-account credentials, identity documents or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Newsletter subscriptions
Kit processes your email address and subscription information when you sign up. Its form script is loaded on pages containing the newsletter form. Kit handles confirmation emails, subscriber records, delivery and unsubscribe links and may process associated technical and email-interaction information according to its settings and policies. Signup requests are subject to email confirmation. You can withdraw your subscription using the unsubscribe link in a newsletter.
Tools and downloads
The pivot calculator performs arithmetic in your browser. Its high, low and close inputs are not sent by the calculator to a market-data service. CSV downloads are generated locally. A downloaded PDF worksheet can be completed on your device; TradeLean does not receive its contents merely because you download or fill it in.
Video, chart and social services
Article pages may include third-party media, interactive charts and links. YouTube players use privacy-enhanced embed addresses and load when activated. TradingView charts may load when a page containing an active chart is opened. These services receive connection information and may use cookies or similar technologies. Locally hosted reel files are delivered as website media rather than through an Instagram iframe. Opening social-share links takes you to the selected platform; clicking Copy link alone does not publish a post.
Purposes and legal bases
Information is used to deliver and secure the website, respond to requested correspondence and provide an optional newsletter. Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, requested newsletter communications rely on consent; essential delivery, security and handling ordinary enquiries rely on legitimate interests, or on steps requested by you where applicable. Legal obligations may also require certain records. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw newsletter consent.
Recipients and international processing
Cloudflare, Kit, FormSubmit, email infrastructure and any media provider you use process information as needed for their respective services. Processing may take place outside your country. Applicable transfer arrangements and provider retention rules are described in their privacy information. TradeLean does not use its website forms to sell personal information or build advertising audiences.
Retention
Correspondence is kept for as long as reasonably needed to answer the enquiry, handle follow-up matters and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Newsletter records are retained while needed to manage the subscription and honour unsubscribe requests; limited suppression records may be necessary to avoid contacting an unsubscribed address again. Hosting, delivery and security records follow the relevant providers’ retention practices. Ask through the Contact page about a particular record or deletion request.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of personal data and object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Use the Contact page for requests; proportionate identity verification may be needed. Applicable statutory deadlines and exceptions apply. You may also complain to the data-protection authority in your country.
Security and children
HTTPS protects data in transit to this website. No website or email service can guarantee absolute security. The research and newsletter are not directed at children. If a child has provided personal information, contact us so that the record can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

Comment security checks
Comment forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect against automated submissions. The widget processes browser and connection information for verification. Its token is checked on TradeLean’s server before a comment is forwarded to FormSubmit for moderation. Comments and enquiries are submitted in the background without leaving TradeLean.
